Miracle Sunday

On May 20, 2007 we celebrated the First Anniversary of being in our new church building at 3644 Warners Road.  As a tangible way of giving thanks to God for His goodness to Christ Community Church, we set out to have 600 in attendance at our worship services and to raise an offering of $58,000 ($1,000 for each of the 58 years the church has been in existence in the Camillus/Fairmont area) and give all of the money away to the Glory of God!

Though we fell a bit short, there were still 380 people in attendance and we have taken in close to $50,000 with more still coming in!  Throughout the summer months our church board will be deciding where to distribute this love offering.  So far we have given:

• $1,000 to missionaries in the Asia-Pacific Region for scholarships they have established
• $1,500 to sponsor five children in various areas of the world for one year (see photos).
• $10,000 to the New Life Community Church of the Nazarene for their new building
• $1,000 to Nazarene Youth Congress, who in partnership with Habitat for Humanity built two houses in St. Louis, MO in July.
• $1,000 to missionaries, Dr. David and Mrs. Taylor
• $1,000 to Upstate District Urban Camp
• $1,000 to Rev. Anthony and Barbara Manswell, missionaries in Trinidad
• $10,000 is being set aside for a community project.
• $500 to the Jack McLean Fund to help a little boy in our community.
• $500.00 to The Slovac Baptist Youth Group for their mission trip.
