Coordinating with the interdenominational World Day of Prayer (Friday, March 2), the Nazarene World Week of Prayer is envisioned that this event will re-ignite prayer flames, deepen commitment to prayer and fasting, and precipitate revival.

Horn of
Africa Unrest Pray that there will be stability and security in the Horn of Africa Region, so that the Church will be able to work freely throughout the Region. War in many locations is causing difficulty for our evangelists and leaders as they plant churches and train and disciple converts and leaders.

Caribbean Regional Prayer Requests Haiti Please pray for the eleven district assemblies in
Haiti being conducted from March 12-25. More than 97,000 Nazarenes in
Haiti have not been able to have district assemblies for over 2 years because of violence throughout the country. Pray that God will protect Haitian Nazarenes and church leaders as they travel to these assemblies. Pray for spiritual renewal as they gather for worship.
Grenada Pray for Nazarenes in
Grenada . This island nation is still trying to recover from violent hurricanes in which nearly every home was destroyed 2 years ago. The Nazarene church was completely destroyed and is still in the process of being rebuilt.
Cuba Pray for the more than 6,000 Nazarenes in
Cuba where the Church of the Nazarene continues to grow and daily faces a multitude of challenges.
Aruba Pray for the one Nazarene congregation in the country of
Aruba . Although a young church, it is aggressively growing and needs to move from its crowded rented facilities. In a small tourist-centered island, prices are extremely high, yet this church believes God can help them find some place and some assistance to build for continued church growth.
Ministerial Students Pray for hundreds of Nazarene ministerial students who are enrolled in extension courses from Nazarene Caribbean Colleges. Most of these students are bi-vocational and also pastoring a Nazarene church.
NCM Projects in
Dominican Republic Pray for the Nazarene Compassionate Ministry projects centered in various churches in the
Dominican Republic . These centers work especially with street children who have no homes, schooling, and often little food. Jamaica Health Fairs Pray for physicians, dentists, optometrists and health care providers who can volunteer time and travel to participate in Jamaica Nazarene Church Health Fairs. In
Jamaica , this is a wonderful opportunity to provide health care and connect people to a compassionate church.
New Missionary Families Pray for the two new Nazarene missionary families, the Lepleys and the Andersons, who reside in the
Dominican Republic . This year they are full-time students in Spanish language school—the language they must use in order to minister in the
Dominican Republic and in the Spanish Caribbean Field.
Haiti Hot Lunch Program Pray for the thousands of Haitian children that are fed each week in the nutrition centers and schools because of the Haiti Hot Lunch Program.
Spiritual Renewal Weeks Pray for holiness revival and renewal among the students during the four Nazarene Caribbean College Spiritual Renewal weeks this semester. CARYCAC NYI Spiritual Encounter Pray for Nazarene Caribbean Youth who are coming from all the
Caribbean cultures, languages, and backgrounds to meet at the CARYCAC (Caribbean Youth Camp and Conference) NYI Spiritual Encounter in August, 2007.
PK Camps Pray for the Nazarene PK (Preacher’s Kid) Camps that are annually conducted throughout the
Caribbean . Along with the PK Sponsorship program, the camps help to direct our parsonage children into spiritual growth, emphasize their uniqueness, and reinforce self-esteem.

MAC Regional Director For Dr. Carlos Saenz, our regional director, and his family; for their safety and for wisdom for Dr. Saenz as he leads and guides the region.

Regional Churches Pray for the 3 largest churches on the South America Region:
Cali ,
Americana , and Campinas-Central. Pray that the Lord will protect the pastors and that God will continue to bless the development of the churches.
SAM Missionaries Pray for the protection of missionaries all over the region in regards to their security, health, and spiritual life.
Iberoamerica 2007 Pray for the Iberoamerica 2007 holiness and evangelism conferences. Dr. James Diehl, general superintendent, will be preaching at these conferences to be held in
Colombia , March 2-4;
Ecuador , March 9-11;
Venezuela , March 12-14; and
Bolivia , March 16-18. Pray for a great out-pouring of God’s Holy Spirit on these special events in each country.
Nazarene Seminaries Please pray for the new student bodies at all the Nazarene Theological Seminaries in

Church of the Nazarene. Current attendance is over 7,000 in 5 Sunday worship services and this addition will give them 600 more seats for a capacity of approximately 1,800. This is a temporary fix while they build their new 12,000 seat sanctuary.
Mujer Valiosa TV Please pray for the filming and release of Mujer Valiosa, a women’s television program the SAM Region is producing, and for the contacts that are being established with television stations.
Extreme Nazarene and KidZone Projects Pray for the strength and safety of all those involved in the Extreme Nazarene projects in
Pilar, Argentina . Pray for those doing preparatory construction on the
Bruno
Radio
Convention Center and for those participating in KidZone 2007 and Extreme 08 construction and evangelism.

Mission Evangelism (UCME): Evangelism Ministries Prayer Requests
Your prayer support is deeply appreciated for the following ministry areas of Evangelism Ministries of UCME Department:
1. Pray for new leaders for starting new churches across the
USA and
Canada . For the fifth year in a row, over a hundred new churches have been started in the
USA and
Canada . In last year’s report to the General Board, there were 1,130 new churches registered since the launch of the NewStart strategy. This year, that number has increased to 1,302 new churches registered, an increase of 172 new churches over this past year.
That means for more than a decade, an average of over 100 new churches have been started each year in the
USA and
Canada . This dramatic turnaround reflects the combined efforts of the Church of the Nazarene on all its organizational levels to achieve this accomplishment. With an additional 400 to 500 new churches still in the process of being started, new churches now number over 1,800 toward our denominational faith projections. We could still surpass 2,008 new churches by the 2008 Centennial Celebration.
2. Pray for the new church leadership teams that include The NewStart Taskforce, the Multi-Congregational Task Force, and the District NewStart Teams. (A description of these teams and additional and ways you can pray follows.)
The NewStart Taskforce Team represents leaders from the eight educational regions and
Canada serve to help implement the NewStart strategy across each region. Special appreciation is expressed to Phil Fuller, Dorzell King, Wes Humble, Mike Morris, Kevin Ulmet, Bill Wiesman, Sam Flores, Steve Ottley and Craig Rench. We are grateful to these dynamic leaders serving so capable across their regions to encourage and equip others in starting strong new churches the right way.
- The Multi-Congregational Taskforce
This leadership team was established to resource sponsoring Nazarene churches in sharing their property in starting a new church. Ian Fitzpatrick leads this team of leaders and anticipates 500 new Nazarene churches across the
USA and
Canada that will start by sharing a building with an existing Nazarene congregation. We want to thank Jossie Owens, Brett Rickey, Scott Lowry, Julio Ortiz, Mike Morrison, Brian Wilson and Menjo Ingle for their regional leadership in this vital area of new church evangelism.
- The District NewStart Teams
Each district in
USA and
Canada is working to select a NewStart District Coordinator and a NewStart Team for encouraging the sponsorship of new churches across their district. Pray for these important district teams of leaders.
3. Prayer for evangelism efforts of Nazarene churches in USA/Canada. For the past reporting year, the Church of the Nazarene in
USA and
Canada nearly set another record in the number of new Nazarenes received with 34,660 new members. The Research Department at headquarters has linked these record numbers of new members over the past few years directly to the new members added by the new churches added across this past decade. Once again, we are reminded the greatest method for reaching new people for Christ is starting new churches. We are so thankful to God and encouraged that so many faithful leaders helped in this incredible achievement. Continue to pray for all these efforts in evangelism and discipleship.
4. Pray for the long term impact of the M7 Conference. Your prayers for the long term impact of the M7 Conference held in
Kansas City , February 19-21. From enlisting new leaders for new churches, sponsoring pastors and churches, to training for evangelism and discipleship pray these efforts yield a greater harvest for the
Kingdom of
Christ .
