Youth Ministries is called "THE REFUGE".  Each Sunday evening they hold "Wreck the House" at the church where the emphasis is on fellowship, food and Bible Study.  They participate in a number of service projects through the year including ministry at the Syracuse Rescue Mission. 

Highlights of the year include the annual Winter Retreat, Summer Camp, and Work and Witness Projects.  The teens also have their own CARE Group that meets weekly on Thursdays at 7:15pm. 

In addition to all of this, they participate in a number of other activities, both local and district wide, such as bowling, lazer tag, campfires, events at the zoo, day trips to SeaBreeze, Kingdom Bound at Darien Lake and Festival of Life in Boston, MA.

Justin Lasher is our NYI (Nazarene Youth International) President at Christ Community Church.  He and his wife Beth are the leaders of our Youth Ministries.

Justin and Beth Lasher started as our youth leaders in January 2007.  Justin is a graduate of Eastern Nazarene College and is employed by The Hartford in Syracuse.  Beth is a graduate of Cayuga Community College and is also employed at The Hartford.   They are both graduates of Weedsport High School and met while playing on the same soccer team when Justin was 8 and Beth was 6.  Their wedding on July 1, 2006 was the first held in the new Christ Community Church building.  They recently moved into their first home on Whedon Road in Camillus.
