Dear fellow laborers in the Lord,

We are beginning to form up project teams for the Camp Closing Weekend.

.

Turn off water, clear lines & add antifreeze

Move picnic tables to tabernacle

Much and pick up most leaves

Pre-winter cabin & dorm cleanup.

Repair Missionary Cottage Sewer Line

.

1) Our first priority is getting all water turned off, and lines blown out. Wally Page will be heading this up, and will begin shutting down all water on Thursday the 23rd. We expect to have a compressor to blow out all water lines by noon of Friday the 24th. He is looking for persons to work with him, and to learn this process for the future.

Since water will be shut down, persons willing to come early, should let us know that ahead so rooms can be reserved in the motel (7), and new dorms. Water will remain on in the New Dorm / Restroom, the Dining Hall, and Motel. There would be heat in the New Dorm (90's) next to the Quonset Workshop.

Meals are provided for Saturday breakfast and lunch on the 24th. Please let us know you are coming and for what meals, so we can make adequate preparation. (Email smclain2@iname.com, 315-363-6325) We will try to have coffee, Friday night supper & some other limited items available for persons coming earlier.

It is our desire to accomplish several other tasks on this weekend: Move picnic tables to tabernacle, Mulch and pick up most leaves, Pre-winter cabin & dorm cleanup. Repair Missionary Cottage Sewer Line. Leaders and work teams are needed for each of these tasks. Let us know you are available so we can plan work teams now. Your help is needed. Let's fellowship together while putting these tasks to rest.

2) We expect to start early with a machine and dig out and replace the collapsing septic line behind the Missionary Cottage, We are now looking for leaders in this project. Dean Heckman and Bob Klumpp are already planning to spend some time on this. More help will be needed. Some Workers for this will want to come on Thursday to get started with a digging machine. Let us know if you can run this equipment. We will dig up 60' of old line, and replace it.

3) Moving Picnic tables. We can use the tractor and trailer, and some pick up trucks to do this. Bring a crew, decide how many tables you can take care of, and get it done quickly.

.

4) Leaf Mulching & Raking - We would like to mulch as many leaves on the spot as possible so they do not need to be raked. Bring a mulcher and select an area to work in. There are places this cannot be done. Once again, bring a pickup truck and rakes, and fill it with leaves a couple of times. Let's avoid the Fall leaf cleanup mess.
